POLICE are appealing for the driver of a dark people carrier-style vehicle involved in a collision with an elderly man, to come forward.

The collision happened at 9.40am on February 26 as the vehicle pulled out of the Acomb Hotel on Tudor Road, in the Acomb area of York.

The 86-year-old pedestrian was knocked over and sustained a serious injury to his arm, although at the time, his injuries appeared less serious.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and assisted the elderly man but did not leave any contact details.
