A FAULTY lightbulb caused a plane to make a precautionary landing at Durham Tees Valley Airport (DTVA).
The Eastern Airways plane was travelling from Humberside to Aberdeen on Wednesday evening when the pilot made the decision to land at DTVA due to a cabin light bulb defect which led to a light haze being visible in the cabin.
An Eastern Airways spokesman, said: “The Jetstream 41 with 25 passengers and three crew on board landed safely in Durham Tees Valley at 6.10pm and taxied to the terminal, where passengers disembarked as normal via the aircraft steps.
“Alternative transport was arranged to take the passengers to their destination.
“We do apologise to passengers for the inconvenience, but the safety of our passengers and crew is our primary concern.”
