Woman wanted in connection with wallet theft from Redcar store

POLICE are hunting a woman who stole a wallet as a man queued at a checkout in Redcar.

The theft happened on Saturday, February 28, when the victim was at the cigarettes kiosk in Tesco store on West Dyke Road in Redcar when he noticed a male customer next to him had left his wallet behind.

He gave the man his wallet and as he returned to the counter to pay for his own items he leaves his own wallet on the counter.

The next customer is then seen stealing the wallet.

Anyone with any information as to the identity of this female is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
