THIEVES have stolen hundreds of pounds worth of tools from a car in broad daylight.
Large tools including a cordless drill, and a large tool box and its contents were taken from the vehicle which was parked in a small layby on Keith Road in Middlesbrough on Wednesday morning (March 12).
The blue Vauxhall Vectra was outside the walkway entrance to Evergreen Walk between the junctions of Woodville Avenue and Hollyhurst Avenue between 10am and 10.55am when it was targeted.
A yellow extension cable and a large multi-function electrical tester were also stolen.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen someone acting suspiciously or carrying a large amount of tools or equipment is asked to contact police.
Officers would also like to hear from anyone who was driving past on this busy road and who noticed someone removing large bulky items from the boot of the Vectra.
Contact PC Sean Parkin on the non emergency number 101 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
