THE driver of a bus had to be cut free by firefighters following a collision in Middlesbrough bus station tonight (Monday, March 10).
The incident happened at around 5pm when the Stagecoach bus collided with an Arriva bus leaving one passenger injured and the driver of the Arriva bus requiring medical attention.
An eyewitness said fire crews had to cut the driver out of the Arriva bus before a waiting ambulance crew checked him for his injuries.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman confirmed that police, fire and ambulance crews were in attendance.
