SPRING is in the air now the first of the year’s lambs have been born – and an agricultural college has been showing off its new arrivals to hundreds of visitors.
Askham Bryan College, York, held its annual Lambing Sunday at the weekend, allowing people to meet and have a cuddle with the new-born lambs.
There was also a working dog display, a chance to hold chicks and creepy-crawlies, tractor and trailer rides, see cows being milked, and stalls including Deliciously Yorkshire food.
Children’s activities included balloon modelling, a party bus and face-painting.
