A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital with a broken elbow after falling off his machine.

The unnamed 62-year-old man fell off his motorcycle while travelling on the A67, at Gainford, in County Durham, on Friday.

He was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital for treatment to his broken bone.

The Great North Air Ambulance attended the scene as a precaution but was not needed.

PAINTING WORKSHOP: Artist Linda Birch delivers a painting workshop at The Bowes Museum, in Barnard Castle, on Friday, from 10am to 4pm. She will choose a painting from the museum’s collection to adapt using oils and acrylics. Entry is £35 or £30 for Friends of the museum.
