HOMEMADE cakes and cuppas aplenty are being served at a newly-reopened tearoom in Teesdale.
The Eggleston Hall Cafe and Tearoom, next to Eggleston Hall, has reopened under new management, who have redecorated the interior and refurbished the furniture.
Run by Clare Moss-Clennell and Clare Dixon, the facility has attracted a steady stream of visitors in its first week of trading and will remain open all-year round.
The cakes are homemade by Sue Brown, from Barnard Castle, who is a partner in their sister company, CCS Catering.
Mrs Moss-Clennell said: “We have had some lovely people through the door and have been surprised at how far people travel to visit the area.
“There has been visitors from Newcastle, Durham and Harrogate.”
The cafe is open seven days a week, from 10am to 4.30pm.
