A MOTHER’S Day craft fair has been organised by a group of mums who know exactly what women want.

Whether it is a bouquet made of balloons, Fairtrade gifts, cast-offs upcycled into innovative home accessories or gifts for an expectant baby, the ‘Mums of Hartburn’ will be selling an array of unique items.

To ensure children have plenty of time before the big day itself a craft fair is being held on Saturday, at All Saint’s Church in Hartburn Village, Hartburn, Stockton, from 1.30pm until 4pm.

The 13 stallholders will include Nicky’s Creations, Felt with Love, Party Cavern, Little Jems, Dottie’s Cupcakes and Heart Felt Designs.

The ‘Mums of Hartburn’ set up 18 months ago after visiting other fairs and deciding how they could be improved.

As well as selling gifts for Mother’s Day, which is on Sunday, March 30, the entrepreneurs will also be taking commissions for future special occasions.

“As mums ourselves we know what other mothers want, so 99 per cent of the gifts will be unique,” said Clare Poulton who will be selling a selection of Fairtrade products.

“The group means that we have hobbies for ourselves which can be fitted in around our families, and we get to spend time with our friends.”
