TWO men have been arrested following an armed robbery on a store in Guisborough.
The robbery at Martin McColl store took place last night (Monday, March 3) at around 8.50pm.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “Two men wearing balaclava’s and dark clothing took cigarettes and cash in the robbery, which took place at around 8.50pm at Martin McColl’s Supermarket on Howlbeck Road.
“It is believed that the men used a dark coloured vehicle to attend and leave the store. They made off in the direction of Park Lane, towards Guisborough Fire Station.
“The men carried weapons, which were not firearms.”
Two men remain in police custody in connection with the incident.
