How many cops does it take to batter down a front door?

The answer - just two. However, it does take the determined duo an exhausting two-and-a-half minutes to finally breach its stout defence.

They take it in turns with a manual battering ram - dubbed the Big Red Key - and after just a few hits the Cleveland Police officers' strength can be seen fading.

Undeterred by the high security uPVC door they gamely press on and finally smash it in after an amazing 48 hits.

The raid was one of a number on seven addresses across Thornaby as part of a major crime clampdown.
