YORKSHIRE Sculpture Park has a new chairman of the board of trustees.

Greville Worthington has been elected as the new chairman and has taken over from Magnus von Wistinghausen on February 6.

Mr Worthington brings a wealth of experience from the world of business and the arts as a writer, art collector and curator, and he has curated numerous contemporary art exhibitions at museums and galleries throughout the UK.

Essays and contributions to catalogues include Damien Hirst Print; Sculpture in 20th Century Britain; and Here & Now: Experiences in Sculpture.

He was, until recently, a trustee of the Henry Moore Foundation. Other board and advisory roles include the Acquisitions Committee of The Patrons of New Art at Tate where he has been a member since 1995 and the Baltic Centre of Contemporary Art where he has been a member of the trading board since 2012. In 2004 he was invited by Tate to be a judge for the prestigious Turner Prize.
