FORMER students of Richmond School are being asked to support current pupils though charity Future First.

The school is one of more than 500 state schools and colleges across the UK which have registered with Future First to set up networks of former students or alumni.

It is also keen to hear from students of Richmond Grammar School for Girls and Richmond Grammar School for Boys which merged to form the new school.

Future First’s vision is that every state school or college should be supported by a thriving, engaged alumni community that helps it to do more for its students.

Volunteers can help as career and education role models, mentors or e-mentors, work experience providers, governors, donors or fundraisers.

Sandra Johnson, assistant headteacher, who manages the Future First scheme at Richmond School, is waiting to hear from former students on sajohnson@richmondschool.net.

Former students can also sign up to Future First’s alumni scheme by clicking on the link https://networks.futurefirst.org.uk/former-student/richmondschool or via the former students link on the website www.futurefirst.org.uk
