PIANO CONCERT: The principal pianist with the Turkish Presidential Philharmonic Orchestra is giving one of only two performances in the UK in East Cleveland on Friday.

Gulsin Onay’s is playing the solo concert at Sir William Turner’s Almshouses in Kirkleatham and is including music by Haydn, Saygun and Mendelssohn. The entire second half features Schubert’s Sonata in C-minor.

TRIBUTE ACT: Bon Jovi tribute act Billy Blacks Bon Jordi is performing in Hartlepool on Friday (Feb 28) at 7.30pm.

“Born to Rock” features all the band’s greatest hits including Livin’ on a Prayer, Bed of Roses, and Wanted Dead or Alive.

CHARITY MEETING: The next monthly meeting of the Saltburn Animal Rescue Association (SARA) will be on Wednesday, March 5 at 7.30pm in the TocH premises, Albion Terrace, Saltburn. The Annual General Meeting will precede the meeting. Members of the public are invited to attend and new members are welcome.

DIGITAL ROADSHOWS: People in Hartlepool can find out more about using the internet – and try out the latest smartphones and tablets for free – at roadshows at the town’s libraries this week.

The drop-in events are free and hosted by housing group Vela. All the events are 10am to 12.30pm and are at Seaton Carew Library, Station Lane tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb 25); Owton Manor Library, Wynyard Road, Hartlepool tomorrow (Wednesday, Feb 26); Central Library, York Road, Hartlepool on Thursday and the Headland Library, Middlegate, Hartlepool on Friday.

TOTS SESSIONS: Sports sessions for children aged three to five are on offer at Hartlepool’s Mill House Leisure Centre in Raby Road.

The sessions – Footy Tots, Tumble Tots and Tramptots – based on football, gymnastics and trampolining - are free for the first session and there is no need to book.

Footy Tots is on Fridays from 4pm-5pm; Tumble Tots on Tuesdays from 2.30pm-3.30pm and Tramptots is on Wednesdays from 4.30pm-5.30pm.
