A DOUBLE bill of work by two of the UK’s best-known choreographers will be staged at a North-East theatre this month.

BalletBoyz will perform at Darlington Civic Theatre on Thursday, February 20, with their new show The Talent.

Following a successful tour late last year, Liam Scarlett’s Serpent and Russell Maliphant’s Fallen are being staged once more.

BalletBoyz co-founder Michael Nunn said: “The November tour went brilliantly.

“And we’re really delighted that we’ve got more dates for the spring of 2014, going to some favourite stomping grounds and visiting new places.

“In performing these two outstanding works, our ten fantastic male dancers will give audiences the chance to see what brilliant work is being produced by artists in the UK.”

Another co-founder, William Trevitt, added: “This is a perfect opportunity for us to engage with new audiences as well as to perform to BalletBoyz fans.

“We’ve got a really strong company and in Serpent and Fallen, we’ve got a really interesting double bill that I think appeals to a very wide audience.”

The show starts at 7.30pm on February 20.

Tickets cost £18 and £20 for adults and £10 for under 16s.
