THE journey that saved the land’s most powerful saint and one of the world’s most beautiful and important books feature in a new exhibition coming to Middlesbrough.

Acclaimed writer Richard W Hardwick and award-winning photographer Paul Alexander Knox are coming to Middlesbrough Central Library tomorrow (Monday, February 3) as part of the Lindisfarne Gospels Durham Exhibition.

The pair researched the Gospels’ journey and the history around it before travelling the whole route last Easter.

Now their pop-up exhibition is coming to Middlesbrough Central Library where it will run until Wednesday, March 5.

Their blog www.stcuthbertsfinaljourney.com and resulting exhibition were a key part of the Lindisfarne Gospels Durham exhibition.

DELAYS EXPECTED: DRIVERS are being warned to watch out for further roadworks on one of the main routes in and out of Hartlepool. The council will start work tomorrow (Monday, February 3) on the second and final phase of a £600,000 project to repair and improve the Belle Vue Way/Brenda Road roundabout on the A689. The work will be completed by mid-March.
