Visitors to Bowes Museum can decorate a bird box for the garden

BIRD WORKSHOP: A Beautiful Bird Feeders workshop will take place at the Bowes Museum, in Barnard Castle, where visitors will be able to paint a wooden feeder to place in their garden. The sessions take place between Monday, February 17 and Wednesday, February 19 from 10.30am to noon and then 1pm to 2.30pm. Entry is free to adults but £4.50 for children and places must be booked on 01833-690606. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

FILM SCREENING: Bishop Auckland Town Hall is to screen The Call (cert 15), starring Halle Berry, on Thursday, February 13 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £4 with details from 03000-269524.
