Talented students prepare for a night at the opera

SIX talented youngsters are preparing to share the stage with an international ballet and opera company.

The children will perform Carmen with the Russian State Ballet and Opera House at Darlington Civic Theatre on Tuesday, February 11.

The youngsters, from Darlington Stagecoach Theatre Arts School, are Isaac Tallantire, 12, from Richmond, 11-year-olds Joe Locker and Ryan Gibson, from Ingleby Barwick, Victoria Ward, from Darlington, Sally Cresser, from Newton Aycliffe, and Emelia Boyle, from Hurworth.

Carmen is an Opera in four acts by French composer Georges Bizet, which has become one of the best-known plots with the most memorable music.

The Russian State Ballet and Opera House will also perform La Traviata on Wednesday, February 12 at 7.30pm.
