A DRUNK Halesowen woman slashed her boyfriend with a kitchen knife as he was punching her during a booze-fuelled row, a court heard.

Sacha Taylor cut Stephen Tanner’s arm, which needed stitches, as the pair argued after a heavy drinking session.

The 20-year-old, with a history of assault and battery offences, admitted wounding her 21-year-old boyfriend and was put on supervision for two years.

Recorder Stephen Linehan QC told Taylor, at Wolverhampton Crown Court: "You drank a lot and you were having a relationship with a man who was no good for you.

"You took a large kitchen knife and you slashed him with it. It is out of circumstances like this that people appear in the dock accused of murder."

Justin Jarmola, prosecuting, said both Taylor and the victim had been drinking heavily and he struck her a number of times.

He said Taylor, of Nimmings Road, maintained she picked up the knife intending to frighten Mr Tanner but caught him with the weapon on the arm and finger.
