LEISURE centres across Hambleton will be getting in a spin next week to raise money for charity.

To mark the 150 days to the Grand Depart of the Tour De France, each centre will be aiming to keep two spinning bikes turning for 12 continuous hours.

Customers and staff can sign up to spin for blocks of 30 minutes to keep the challenge going, with proceeds going to a charity chosen by the centre.

The event takes place in Bedale, Northallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk centres on February 5 from noon to midnight.

For more details, or to sign up to take part, contact the individual leisure centres: Bedale on 01677-427272, Northallerton on 01609-777070, Stokesley on 01642-711140 or Thirsk on 01845-522447.
