TENNIS lessons by a professional coach are being offered at Teesdale Leisure Centre.

Eight weeks of tennis lessons are to be held at the Barnard Castle centre for young players aged 11-years and above.

They will run on Mondays between 4pm and 5pm from February 3. No previous experience is needed and equipment will be provided.

The course is funded by County Durham Sport’s Sportivate and Durham County Council but a £1.50 contribution is being charged per session.

Everyone who completes the coaching will receive a tennis racquet and a year’s free membership to Barnard Castle Tennis Club.

Places are limited and to reserve one contact Eve Galloway, of Teesdale School and Sixth Form, on 07522-034171.
