A TEESSIDE engineering company is building on its success thanks to help from Redcar Enterprise Team.

Saltburn-based Scurator is working on a £500,000 project to upgrade and extend Teesside Hospice in Middlesbrough, after securing the project from Koru Property Services The contract, which is expected to be completed by April, involves extending and refurbishing part of the hospice, including a family area.

Gregory Sills, who launched Scurator seven years ago, said: “The relationship we have with Koru stems from a networking event organised by the Redcar and Cleveland Business Forum.

“I met one of Koru’s directors at the forum and the two companies are now exploring ways of working together on future projects to offer a fully comprehensive range of services.”

To encourage further partnership working across the borough the Enterprise Team also organises the Redcar and Cleveland Business Forum, which meets once a month providing local companies with a chance to network and access a range of business experts.
