ADVICE on cutting fuel bills is to be offered to residents as part of the national Big Energy Saving Week.

Durham County Council has teamed up with the Greater Durham Citizens Advice Bureau to provide the service between Monday, January 27 and Friday, January 31.

Information on topics such as switching suppliers or tariffs, loft and cavity insulation and replacing old boilers will be on offer.

The first session runs today (Monday, January 27) at Crook customer access point, Crook Civic Centre.

The others are at Spennymoor customer access point, Green Lane, tomorrow (Tuesday, January 28), Seaham customer access point, St John’s Square, on Wednesday (January 29), Stanley customer access point, Front Street, on Thursday (January 30) and Durham City indoor market on Friday. (January 31) All of the sessions take place between 10am and 2pm.
