A 19-YEAR-OLD man needed hospital treatment after being stabbed during a disturbance involving four men and two women at the Viewley Shopping Centre, Hemlington on Monday, January 20 at about 6.30pm. 


The man received two minor puncture wounds but was not seriously harmed.


Three men aged 22, 28 and 29 and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and were released on bail pending further enquiries.

OPEN DAY: Stockton Borough Council is calling on people to attend its volunteer open day next week. SHED BURGLARIES: Eight sheds were burgled in one night in the Fairfield area of Stockton. The burglaries took place overnight on Tuesday, January 21 into Wednesday, January 21 on Whitton Road, Grosvenor Road and Barnard Avenue. Entry was forced to the sheds and power tools were targeted. HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL: A Teesside MP has marked Holocaust Memorial day by signing the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment in the House of Commons. Alex Cunningham, MP for Stockton North, was helping to publicise the 69th anniversary of the liberation Auschwitz on Monday, January 27.

BOBBY’S BREW: A community policeman will hold a coffee mornings to give members of the public a chance to tell him about issues on his beat. The first event will take place at 1.30pm on Wednesday, January 29, in the Lingdale Youth Centre, east Cleveland.  Neighbourhood PCSO Paul Payne’s Brew with a Bobby mornings will be sponsored by Coast & Country Housing.
