HOUSEHOLDERS in Darlington are being offered advice on how to cut their energy bills as part of national Big Energy Saving Week.
Darlington Borough Council is working with the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) and other groups to help residents get the best deal.
Three information sessions will be held throughout next week with the first on Tuesday from 10am to 2pm at the Crown Street Library.
Wednesday’s session will be at Firthmoor Community Centre from 10am to 2pm, followed by the final information event at the Dolphin Centre on Friday from 10am to 2pm.
Residents are also being reminded that they could save money on their energy bills by registering for the Big Community Switch which sees providers bid to offer the best prices.
The deadline for registering for the latest switch auction is February 17.
