Police are urging vigilance among van drivers
VAN owners are being warned to be especially vigilant after the spare wheels of two Volkswagen Caddy vans were stolen in the last week.
A Darlington Police spokesman said: “Please remember to keep your vehicles secure, park them in a garage when possible and if not in a well-lit area.
“Also, you could consider putting your spare wheel inside your van rather than it being outside.”
Witnesses should contact police on 101.
