THE death of a father who collapsed following a fight while he was out celebrating the birth of his son was not suspicious, police have said.
Benji Bolsenbroek, 23, was caught up in a mass brawl in a pub and was assaulted in the Park Hotel, Middlesbrough, in October.
After being hurt he went to his mother's house and from there to the James Cook University Hospital where he died at about 1am the following day.
Cleveland Police said 11 men and five women will appear in court next month charged with violent disorder.
A spokeswoman said: "Forensic examinations have not linked Benji's death with the incident at the Park Hotel and his death is not therefore being treated as suspicious.
"Our thoughts remain with his family and friends."
