School supports efforts at Chilton park

A SCHOOL has donated hundreds of pounds to a group that works to improve facilities at a neighbouring park. Windlestone Hall School, at Chilton, raised £716 at its Christmas fair which has been donated to The Friends of the Park group. Members, who raise money towards improving the pavilion at the Miners Welfare Recreation Ground, in Chilton, thanked the school and all those who have donated prizes and supported their fundraising efforts.

BURNS NIGHT: Hamsterley Social Club is hosting a Burns Night evening on Saturday, January 25, at 8pm, which will include a supper of haggis, neeps and tatties and a quiz. Tickets cost £3.50. To book call 01388-488366.
