A HAIRDRESSER has been left devastated after a thief broke into her car and stole her trusted scissors.
Sharon Hyde was woken by a neighbour on Monday (January 20) morning to the news that her car had been targeted overnight.
A small holdall containing her rare and expensive scissors, which are valued at hundreds of pounds, were stolen from underneath the front seat.
The self employed Redcar hairdresser said: “I was devastated when I discovered the scissors had been stolen. I’ve had them for years and they are my tried and trusted scissors – it’s gutting really.
“I know you shouldn’t leave things in your car but they were well hidden away and I believe that whoever broke into the car must have seen me taking my equipment in and out of the car at different times.
“It’s very frustrating losing business because of this break in but I’ve replaced all of the gear and I’m back at work now.”
The stolen goods include one set of gold coloured thinning scissors and the second pair of standard scissors with pink jewels on the blades.
A pair of Wahl grooming clippers was also stolen during the break in to the silver Vauxhall Corsa which was parked up on Station Road in Redcar overnight Sunday, January 19.
