Motorist appeals for owner of damaged car to come forward

Darlington and Stockton Times: REG SINGLE Motorist appeals for owner of damaged car to come forward REG SINGLE Motorist appeals for owner of damaged car to come forward

A MOTORIST who damaged another vehicle while parking has urged the owner of the car to get in touch.

The woman, who asked not to be identified, knocked the wing mirror off a vehicle while pulling into a space at the Park Place car park in Darlington on Thursday, January 16.

The incident happened at about 7.20pm.

The woman said she could not stop at the time but intended to leave a note or speak for the owner later.

She added: “We were rushing off to the theatre and I thought the vehicle would still be there when I got back and I could sort it out then, but I got back and it was gone.

“I feel so guilty. I want to repair for the car to be fixed."

If this was your vehicle, email joe.willis@nne.co.uk to be put in touch with the motorist.

Clearly Joe Willis has nothing else newsworthy to be reporting on. What next, front page stories for lost pets?

What is wrong with N.Echo staff incorrectly reporting this sort of tosh?

We have not had WING mirrors since the 70's or early 80's.

We all have DOOR mirrors now. Welcome to the 21st century Joe . . . .

Yes I've got loadsa time on my hands - I'm retired thru major health problems and thru age (the latter end of 66yo). Doesn't mean I have to forget or dismiss proper intelligent speach. Maybe if you're right, we shouldn't say WING mirrors - or how about FRONT MUDGUARD MIRRORS ?

Why have you got so much time on your hands? Doley or ?

See what I mean - I deliberately said 'intelligent speach' instead of 'speech' and 'studio' didn't bother to correct me - seems as though people don't care whether we use correct Ingrish or not. But yeh 'studio' - like you say . . . . . . . .
Who cares?
