THE FIRST rule of the clandestine cake club is don’t talk about clandestine cake club.
Bakers across the region are being invited to join the Durham Dales Clandestine Cake Club as they prepare to indulge in a new season of events.
The club – which has been running for almost two years – meets in locations that remain secret until just days before the event.
Members are invited to book their place, bake a cake at home and meet at the clandestine pop-up venue to enjoy treats and sample the wares of other bakers.
The next three events will be held in Darlington and the club is inviting bakers of all ages and experiences to join in.
On Thursday, January 23, the club will meet at 6pm for a ‘New Year, New You, New Hue’ themed event featuring a talk from House of Colour.
The theme for Sunday, February 16 will be Beloved Cakes and Sunday March 9 will see members celebrate the club’s second birthday.
