POLICE TALK: Richmondshire residents are invited to attend a meeting to hear Assistant Chief Constable Paul Kennedy from North Yorkshire Police discuss local issues.

On Thursday, January 23 at 6.30pm at Mercury House, Station Road, Richmond, he will attend the district council’s overview and scrutiny meeting to talk about the use of non-designated police stations for short-term prisoners; use of private contractors for prisoner transport; and the relocation of the custody suite from Northallerton to Thirsk.

CYCLE MARKING: There will be a free event carry out security cycle marking tomorrow (Saturday) run by North Yorkshire Police.

Officers will be in the Methodist Church in Dundas Street, Richmond, from 10am until 1pm. Cycle marking helps stamp out cycle crime as thieves will be aware the bike can be traced if stolen.
