A BURLESQUE performer has joined forces with a top fashion snapper to teach a portrait photography course with a difference.

The art of striptease using vintage corsetry and dimmed lighting will be captured at day-long workshops led by Keith Moss with model Frankii Wilde, who performed last year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

“I wanted to offer something a little bit different to a normal portrait course in as much as the subject matter is interesting and unusual, it's quite glamorous, and Frankii is great to work with,” Mr Moss said.

“We'll use a variety of different lighting techniques and it's not just about lighting the subject, the course is also about engaging with the model and how emotion and mood influence the results in the final image.”

Mr Moss has shot campaigns for Middlesbrough fashion designer, Kate Fearnley as well as working with companies including Laura Ashley, Hilton hotels and Mars confectionery in his 25-year career.

The course, aimed at intermediate level photographers aged over 18, who shoot on film or digital cameras is being held at his studio in Brotton, Saltburn, east Cleveland.

Mr Moss, who is an Ilford partner delivering masterclasses on the black and white medium, can lend students a film camera if requested.

Workshops are taking place on Saturday, January 25 and March 29, Monday, May 19, or Wednesday, August 6, costing £295 including lunch.
