RECENT cases heard at Northallerton Magistrates’ Court include: Samuel John Bake, 22, of Chestnut Close, Richmond, admitted to driving while over the drink-drive limit. He was fined £300, with a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months, which could be reduced if he takes part in a drink-drive course.
Peter Patterson Prentice, 24, of Vicars Croft, Northallerton, admitted assault at HMP Northallerton on May 24 last year. He was given a one-month custodial sentence, consecutive to an eight-month sentence imposed on December 18.
Doreen Alderson, 71, of Holmbrae, Bainbridge, admitted to driving without due care and attention. She was fined £80, with a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Her licence was endorsed with four penalty points.
