A CYCLEWAY and footpath is to be created linking Mount Leven Road to Glaisdale Road, cutting across Lingfield Road in Yarm.
Councillors on Stockton Borough Council planning committee agreed on Wednesday, January 15 that permission be granted to create the 3metre-wide path which will be funded by sustainable transport company, Sustrans. It's hoped the cycleway will be usedby pupils and staff at the nearby Levendale Primary School.
PURPLE PIG: Approval has been given for a new restaurant, to be called The Purple Pig, to be opened at the Grade II-listed building at 137, Yarm High Street. Stockton council's planning committee received 12 letters of objection from residents worried about noise, smells and parking but the committee considered those issues were dealt with in various conditions imposed on the applicant.
