WOMAN BAILED: A woman arrested following a three-car collision in Stockton last week has been released on police bail.

The 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol, theft of a vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident following the crash on Portrack Lane on Tuesday at about 7am.

A blue Peugeot crashed into a lamppost outside the Dunelm shop. A truck then hit the car, then a Ford Ka crashed.

Cleveland Police said the woman was bailed pending further inquiries. Another woman, also 20, arrested after the incident was released with no further action taken. The collision caused tailbacks along Portrack Lane and the nearby A19 during rush hour.
