A SCHOOLBOY was attacked and robbed by a gang of three teenagers as he walked along a footpath in North Yorkshire.

The 16-year-old victim was walking over the railway bridge on Stray Rein footpath heading towards Tewit Well in Harrogate at about 3.55pm on Monday, January 6, when the incident happened.

He was grabbed from behind by three male suspects who were in their late teens. One of them threw him to the floor where he was punched and kicked.

They searched his pockets before making off empty-handed and it is believed at least two of the suspects were on bikes.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them with information.

Contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two and ask for Detective Constable Fiona Saunderson or Harrogate CID. Alternatively, information can be emailed to Fiona.Saunderson@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk

These scum bags need sorting out. Put them in the boxing ring with an "old school" Army P.T.I. & see how brave they are then, it would teach them a lesson they wouldn't forget.
