Crash between truck, two cars and a lamppost caused rush hour delays

TWO women in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of car theft and other motoring offences yesterday (TUESDAY, JANUARY 7)after a crash in Stockton.

The women were in a blue Peugeot 306 which collided with a Ford Ka, a truck and a lamppost on Portrack Lane just before 7am.

They were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries and then taken into police custody for questioning. No-one else was injured in the collision.

The road was closed for several hours, causing delays on the A19, and fully reopened by 10.45am.
