Police meeting for five south Durham villages

RESIDENTS living in five south Durham villages are invited to meet their neighbourhood police team.

Householders in Toft Hill, Etherley, Escomb, Witton Park and Hamsterley, are invited to a Police and Communities Together (PACT) meeting, at Escomb village hall, on Wednesday, January 15, from 6pm to 7pm.

FILM SCREENING: Side Effects (cert 15) will be screened in The Witham, Barnard Castle, on Thursday, January 16, at 7.30pm. Entry is £4.

POLICE MEETING: A Police and Communities Together (PACT) drop-in session takes place at the Community Café, on Front Street, Cockfield, on Saturday, January 18, from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

SHORT WALK: Barnard Castle Ramblers are hosting a short walk for busy people, in Cotherstone, on Sunday. The three-mile easy circular route departs from the village green, at 2pm and finishes at about 4pm.

MOVIE NIGHT: Iron Man 3 (cert 12A) is being screened in Mickleton village hall, on Friday, January 17, at 6pm, followed by The Butler (cert 12) at 8.30pm. Entry is £2.50 for adults and £2 for children.
