POLICE are hunting thieves who raided a farm to steal a quad bike and a large number of power tools.
The raiders struck overnight on January 4 and 5 at a farm on the Hovingham to Malton road in the Ryedale district.
As well as stealing a green Kawasaki quad bike, registration number YX56EUL, they also took power tools including Stihl chainsaws, strimmer and leaf blowers, a Hayter lawnmower, a Briggs and Stratton water pump. They also stole a Karcher power washer, a Snap-on impact gun, boxed drills and socket sets.
PC Paul Fenwick said: “If you saw any unusual people or vehicles acting in a suspicious manner in the Hovingham area during the time burglary and theft occurred, I urge you to contact the police straight away.
“I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have noticed activity they thought was out of the ordinary and urge them to get in touch.”
He added: “If you have been offered the stolen quad bike or power tools matching the description of those stolen, I ask that you contact the police as soon as possible.”
