DETECTIVES investigating a burglary in North Yorkshire on New Year’s Eve are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Thieves broke into a property on Wreaks Road in Birstwith, near Harrogate, while the occupants were out, and took an iPad, a pair of cufflinks, some rings and a quantity of cash.

Officers are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the village on New Year’s Eve to get in touch. They would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered any of the stolen property.
