YOUNGSTERS at two Richmondshire schools have raised more than £150 after wearing their Christmas jumpers to school.
Children and staff at Middleton Tyas Church of England Primary School and Eppleby Forcett Church of England Primary School supported Save the Children with their donation of £168.
Executive headteacher of both schools Maxine Price said: “Everyone got into the celebratory mood by wearing a wide range of colourful and fun Christmas jumpers.
“It was wonderful to see the children and staff getting into the festive spirit and supporting this very worthy cause.
“It was also a time to reflect on how lucky we are and to remember that there are others in the world that are less fortunate than us.”
