RESIDENTS at a care home had some unusual visitors to help mark the start of the New Year.
Tartan clad miniature horses and ponies called into Hazelgrove Court Care Home in Saltburn to share a little bit of post festive joy with residents.
Joanne Burdett, the home’s activities co-ordinator, said: “It went really well. All the residents absolutely loved it, seeing and stroking the pony and miniature horse that came in to visit.
“It’s like people bringing in dogs for the residents to pet and stroke, but this is a little bit more unusual and it’s a great way to start the year.”
