PEOPLE in North Yorkshire are getting the chance to raise their concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour directly with the county’s top cop.

Chief Constable Dave Jones is holding his first web-chat of the year on Monday, January 6, between 5pm and 6pm.

Residents are invited to take part in the live question-and-answer session which allows local people to directly raise the issues that matter most in their communities.

Mr Jones would like to hear about people’s good and bad experiences with North Yorkshire Police. He is also open to suggestions on how the policing service in the county can be further improved.

“I’ve been Chief Constable of North Yorkshire Police for six months now and my monthly webchats always provide a valuable insight into the policing issues which most concern residents,” he said.

“It is also a very quick and easy way to interact with the very people I am proud to serve. I look forward to answering as many of your questions as possible between 5pm and 6pm on Monday.”
