POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car crashed into a post box.
At around 7.40pm on Saturday, December 28, a black Ford Fiesta was travelling along Oatlands Road in Harrogate, when the driver had to swerve to avoid a silver hatchback coming in the opposite direction while overtaking a silver Vauxhall Astra.
The driver then lost control and hit a post box on the other side of the road. The driver and two passengers were treated for minor injuries.

Factory work: The Karro Food Group is to spend £500,000 on updating its main processing line at the Malton Bacon factory. The work will start in January and is due to be completed by the end of March.
Chimney fire: York fire crews attended a chimney fire on Sunday at 2.30pm. Crews attended Anthea Drive in Huntington, York to put out the small fire which had started behind a log burner because of a build-up of soot. Thermal imaging cameras were used to detect the exact location of the fire and it was quickly made safe.
