A GROUP of teenagers assaulted an 11-year-old boy before stealing his schoolbag as he waited for a bus in Darlington.
The youngster had been waiting at a bus stop outside Marks and Spencer, in Northgate, at about 4.15pm on Tuesday, December 17 when a group of teenage boys approached him.
One of the attackers pushed the boy, which made him lose his balance, before another grabbed his backpack containing his school things and loose change.
The group then ran off in different directions, some towards the underpass leading to High Northgate, and others through an alleyway leading to Commercial Street car park.
His black nylon rucksack had red zips and a Manchester United badge on the side.
Anyone with any information on the incident or where the rucksack is can call Darlington police on 101.
