GROUP WALK: The Darlington Ramblers will tackle a seven mile walk around Catterick on Sunday, December 29. Walkers should meet at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, in Vane Terrace, at 9.30am for car sharing. The walk will take in Scotton Moor and woodlands around Catterick Garrison. No dogs are allowed. LIVE MUSIC: The Quakerhouse, in Mechanics Yard, Darlington town centre, will host a reggae night, One Love, on Saturday, December 28, at 8.30pm.

CHURCH SERVICE: The morning service at Bondgate Methodist Church will take place between 10.30am and 11.30am on Sunday, December 29.

GUILD MEETING: The next meeting of the Darlington Embroiderers’ Guild will be on January 4 at Elm Ridge Methodist Church, in Carmel Road South, in Darlington. A talk will be given by Sheila Craig with the title “Journaling Journeys”. The meeting starts at 2pm. Visitors are welcome for a small charge.
