TV star Adrian Edmondson has had an early Christmas present –courtesy of a North Yorkshire brewer.

Masham’s Black Sheep Brewery has sent a special delivery to the comedian and musician and his band to thank them for their support of regional brewers.

Part of the rider for the current tour of the celebrity’s folk band, the Bad Shepherds, was for each venue to provide regional ales for the star to drink on stage.

However, during a visit to Yorkshire early in the tour he commented to the audience that the venue had missed out on offering Black Sheep’s beer, - so the brewqeryt made a special delivery of a selection of its beers.

Sales and marketing director Jo Theakston said: “It’s fantastic that someone of Adrian Edmondson’s profile is touring the country, and taking the opportunity to celebrate regional beers.

“When we heard that he was doing this and had missed out on Black Sheep, we felt the best way to say thank you for their support of the industry was to send them a special delivery.

“So, we had one of our gift packs delivered to the band ahead of the show.”
