A NEWLY-FORMED powered wheelchair football team won 3-0 in an exhibition match against Darlington FC players and staff.
Quakers boss Martin Gray took several of his players and coaching staff to the Dolphin Centre, on Thursday (December 19) evening, for the challenge.
Martin Gray Football Academy will sponsor the new team in its inaugural league season.
The newly-formed Darlington Power Chair team has joined the third tier of the national league and is looking for players.
The club are holding taster sessions for interested players. The vehicles have a top speed of six-and-a-half miles an hour and specially-fitted bumpers at the front.
Mr Gray said: “I am delighted to sponsor Darlington Power Chair Football and to be associated with such an excellent venture.
“Hopefully the club can attract new players at this exciting time and be prepared for their first season in the national league.”
Taster sessions will be held at the Dolphin Centre, in Darlington, on Thursdays, between 6pm and 8pm.
