Northallerton Equestrian Centre is inviting visitors to come along and enjoy fun and games at their children’s Christmas Pony Party on Monday, December 23, from 10am to 12.30pm. Entry is £20, which includes light refreshments and a rosette.

CHARITY BOOST: The NSPCC Castle Howard Christmas Fair held last month raised a record £40,000. Preparations for the 2014 event are already underway.

CHARITIES MERGE: Ryedale Voluntary Action Group is to merge with the Scarborough-based Seachange Community Trust amid concerns about cuts to funding. Chairman David Wright said the move would ensure they could continue to give their services.

NEW WEBSITE: A new website for the Fitzwilliam Malton Estate has been launched as it celebrates its 300th anniversary. The estate team is hoping the new site - maltonestate.co.uk - will help them to interact better with customers.

TEXTILE ART: The next exhibition at Scarborough Art Gallery, Worn to be Wild by textile artist Kate Plumtree, brings together history, fashion and wildlife in a collection of contemporary costume. The exhibition runs from January 25 to March 22.

LOOKING FORWARD: The next meeting of the Future farmers of Yorkshire will be looking at supply chain opportunities. The free event is at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate on January 23.
